death records humphrey(s) family
« on: Thursday 01 November 12 12:17 GMT (UK) »
Please can anyone find a death record for either adam humphrey(s) or his wife sarah (formerly) gray, last record I have for them is a marriage, ballymena, 1874/1875? They appear to have  had 2+ children, Margaret born 1875 (Broughshane) and Adam, but dates vary for him. After that cannot find anything! Would be most grateful for any help, advice or info.

www.familysearch.org has birth details-

Margaret born 22 March 1875 Broughshane district
Adam born 7 Apr.1877 (birth reg.: 1877 Belfast volume 6 page 287)
Adam born 26 July 1879 Ballymena district

Also death for Adam born 1877:
Adam Humphrey, age 2, Apr./June 1879 Ballymena district, volume 1 page 86

The online civil registration index only goes up to 1921 for Northern Ireland counties.

The poor house in Scotland would be a major breakthrough for me as I had searched the 1901 nd 1911 census and no trace of them. Would the young Margaret have gone with them? What about his wife, Sarah? Do you think she would have died in Scotland? Were can I see the poor house records, please and can II research Scotland from this site? So grateful, but so sad too.

You can check Irish civil registration index to see if Margaret and/or Sarah died in Ireland- www.familysearch.org

Scottish deaths (as well as marriages & births) available at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk (pay per view). They also have scanned images of census records.

Govan Poorhouse:

Think Mitchell Library might be the place to check for records.

Margaret was my grandmother, she died in N.Ireland in the mid 1950s, can't find any record of death for Sarah in N.Ireland. Looked up the link for the Govan inmates but could not see the details for both Adams, probably me just being silly, please could you tell me if this record was on the actual Govan poorhouse record. Thanks!
