Hewlett Packard use an ink cartridge that incorporates the print head where others have just an ink tank.
Better if you don't print regular - Easy to replace ink/head, but more costly.
Others usually have multiple ink carts so just change the 'one' empty.

um, that is too technical for me Brian ( ;D). With the one I have, you can change individual cartridges.

HP have an ink tank plus head attached to cartridge.
(If ink blockage you swop ink cartridge)
Epson (mine) just ink tank, print head attached to printer so if head blocked - expensive printer change.

Thanks for the clarification.

Another thing I like about my HP is that you have the option to print without a white border. Other printers are probably the same, but we only recently discovered this feature. Handy,  :)
