Does anyone have experience of researching coronoers' inquest records at the National Archives? I e-mailed the Archives a month or so ago, asking for information on the extent of the records (e.g. how far back do they go) and access procedure, but have received no reply. I'm looking for the record of an inquest on a relative that took place in 1898. I would appreciate any information on whether it is likely to be in the Archives and, if so, whether it necessary to order the records in advance.
Thanks in advance
