scotlands people viewer problems
« on: Wednesday 24 October 12 17:22 BST (UK) »
I am unable to view images on SP despite allowing an active x install. also unable to view using Java. It seems an unnecessarily complicated process to view the images . Is any one else having this problem and does anyone have a solution.

Mike,

I always have 'direct download' as a viewer option which works without any problems (given up a long time ago with other options).

Hi

I agree with Monica. :)

I had the same problem a few days ago and this is what I did. Sorry if you are computer literate but I'm not and this is what I did

Go to the tabs at the top when you are logged in. Choose My Details then scroll down you will see Application Options in blue. Scroll further down and where it says image viewer there is a drop down menu. I chose Direct Download and then click update details further down. Go back to your previous searches and click on the record you want. i did that and my image came through no problem, I chose the saved as and it went into my picture folder.

thanks
I will try that solution. SP are aware there is a problem with active x viewing and are working on it.
