Kerr Street, Northampton.

Does anyone know where Kerr Street was in Northampton.    I know it has been demolished, and there are a few photo's of it available.

Could someone indicate where it may be, on the modern map of Northampton.

Hi Steve.

It would have been near Wood St and Church Lane (St Sepchulre)
also known as Upper Mounts and near Campbell Sqaure Police Station.

More than likely where the Crown Courts (in Ladys Lane are now) although I
am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.  :)

It comes in the census next to Victoria Street and Princess Street.

I expect someone will be along with a better knowledge of Old Nton soon though  ;D

That area might just tie in with what and where I was thinking. ;)

Frederick Ross Edwin Engledow(1882. Chesham, Bucks), was a Lithograph printer in 1911 census.

More than likely worked at the Northampton Chronicle and Echo
offices in Newland just down the way then.  :)
