William Henry Day actor.

Can anyone give me any information on William Henry Day born London 1852, died 1911 ?
I came across him on a genealogy site, there were a couple of hard to read Theatre posters and a faded photo of him.
I 'googled' him and nothing came up, which surprised me as he seemed to be prominent on the posters. Our family has a link to the Theatre which we havent found yet.

You might find references to him in newspapers by using the 19th Century British Newspapers database, if you can't access through your local library or State Library eResources you can, as an Australian resident, access for free through the National Library of Australia eResources. You just need to apply for a Library Card

Is it the Day Family Tree on Ancestry Public Trees that you have seen?  That seems to contain the basic information and photos etc.

All requires checking and confirmation of course.

I'd support that - excellent way in to all you need. You can search for free. Then the payment is per day/week/whatever and unlimited, rather than pay per view, really good if you get lots of hits. I've found it very helpful.

Thank you Graham & Selina, I will take a look. Yes its is the Day tree on Ancestry. As I dont have full membership I am unable to view.
