The problem I have is I do not know where he was born what part of Uk as there are no clues to help me. Its a mystery that I cant find him on any census records either. I have looked through every census on england and wales in 1861 under wood-both for Charles and his father as that is all I have to go on. I have looked through all baptism records for wood in liverpool and lancs and uk for that year for charles wood on one site that gives access to parishes. I cant find any census under his name after marriage, nothing appears that fits both description of father as farmer and him as mariner for 1861 and 1851. The only trace i can find on a 1871 census of a son named james wood kirkdale fever Hospital whitefield lane westminster rd, kirkdale for that area in time. Only found a charles wood born eastbourne 1835 fisherman. There is a james wood in 1861 who is an ag lab speke lancs in 1861 father in law widower as daughter is alice married as mawdsley b 1823 a farmers wife, woolton lans husband william mawdsley b1817 employing 1 lab west derby allerton, allerton rd. That's all i can find for that area and I cant take these as any source of linked evidence really as they could be anyone ? yes that is the thread that I have asked people to read for further details.,
