Daniel and John Rodgers

Can anyone help with these searches as I am not having much luck.
Trying to trace the death date (and cause of Death if possible ) of
Daniel Rodgers, i belive the date would be between 1903, and not after April 1909.
The place of death could have been either Ballintoy, Ramoan or Ballycastle all in county Antrim.
I believe that Daniel may have been still married to Catherine at the time of his death


I am also trying to trace the date of birth for John Rodgers who I believe was the son of Daniel above.
The 1911 census shows  John to be 3 , so i take it that the birth year is around 1909.
Daniels mother had already re married at that stage.
Her details are
Catherine McLaughlin, previous married name was Rodgers, having been married to Daniel. Her name at birth would have been Simpson.

   There was a death registered in Ballycastle in Jul- Sept quarter for Daniel Rodgers, age 27 Vol 1 page 47.
In case you are not aware on 15 Oct 1903 Daniel Rogers married Catherine Simpson in Ballintoy Church of Ireland. On 22 Apr 1909 Patrick McLaughlin married Catherine Rodgers in Ramoan Church of Ireland.

In case you are not aware on 15 Oct 1903 Daniel Rogers married Catherine Simpson in Ballintoy Church of Ireland. On 22 Apr 1909 Patrick McLaughlin married Catherine Rodgers in Ramoan Church of Ireland.

Note: the year is 1904. You'd need to get the death certificate to find exact date, place and cause of death.

1911 minus 3 is 1908 so John could have been born 1907 or 1908 if the age is correct.

If Daniel Rodgers died in 1904 then it's unlikely that he was John's father but as his mother's surname would have been Rodgers that's the surname he'd have been known by.[/s]

You can search the civil registration index (free) at www.familysearch.org to see if you can find a registration for John- closest I found for a John Rodgers in Ballycastle reg. dist. was one in 1908. However, since he may have been illegitimate he could have been registered under another surname.
