Bedworth / Nuneaton libraries baptism marriage records
« on: Friday 12 October 12 15:19 BST (UK) »
Hi All
Unless I'm not looking in the right places on the internet I dont seem to be able to clarify where I can go to a library in either Bedworth,Nuneaton or near either to search church records for baptisms, burials and marriages from 1900 onwards towards present day that occurred in Bedworth, Coventry and Nuneaton.....
Is there such a library where I can visit and access these records and in addition they have newsaper records?
I live in Stockport thus not being totally sure what library holds what
Thanks
Phil

Nuneaton library also have lots of church registers on film.

If that is nearer for you, you could email or phone them to see if they hold the records you want.

Thanks Jim and Judy  :)
I have already seen the fantastic records that Ancestry do have online for the Warwickshire area but after 1900 there's hardly anything and my searches are progressing from the early 1900's to present day now hence the thirst for more information and dates  :)
I'll check both links out that you've provided
Cheers
Phil

One further question I do have in regards to now I've just searched online is that for Nuneaton it seems to indicate for a lot of the registers that they are "unavailable or on loan" eg Parish Registers of Bedworth. All Saints. Baptisms 1644, 1652 - 1963, Marriages 1653 - 1964, Burials 1653 - 1963. Banns 1944 - 1947, 1952 - 1959.:
Are they unavailable or am I best ringing them and check that way?

Hi Phil,

I think you would be best ringing them, or Birmingham, to make sure they have exactly what you want before you visit.

Good luck!

Judy  :D
Best wishes, Judy :-))

Nuneaton & North Warwickshire Family History Society covers this area. Their web site has lots of info and members who can help.

Check their opening times before you go. Ithink they are closed the first week in any month.
And take 2 pieces of proofs of identity with you for them to issue a readers ticket.
