Old Black & White photo repair/restore?

This is an old Black & White photo of my brother and sister in-law. Unfortunately one of their children, (who are now grandparents themselves) drew on the photo with Biro and generally abused it. I do not have the ability to restore it myself, so any help will be wonderful, thank you. :)

POSTEES: If possible, PLEASE, scan your images at 300 - 600 dpi, for both ease of restoration and best results
RESTORERS: Feel free to change/improve/colour any restorations posted by myself.  Acknowledgment would be appreciated.
