Marriage in Manchester Cathedral, Twiss and Middleton
« on: Sunday 07 October 12 14:50 BST (UK) »
Euphemia TWISS and Herbert MIDDLETON were married on 19 Oct 1873 in Manchester Cathedral.
Euphemia was baptised 3 Feb 1856 in Manchester Cathedral or Chorlton-upon-Medlock.

If anyone could look up either of these so that I can check her father's name I would be very grateful.

Thank you
Velda Hampton

Hi,

The image on family search shows Thurston`s occupation as Butler.  Abode was Longsight.

Hi

The copy of the baptism register is available on
www.familysearch.org

it says that they lived in Longsight and her father was a Butler.

go to Familysearch
click United kingdom
go down to England Lancashire Cheshire parish registers 1630-1910go down to browse through the images
choose Lancashire
I suggest that you put this page in your favourites for future use
go down to Chorlton upon Medlock All Saints
choose baptisms 1855-1865
the image is 27/200
you can download a copy to your computer.

Apologies if you already know how to access these images.
It's amazing how many people don't realise that the records are freely available.

Heather

Thank you everyone who replied. I have found the baptism record and it looks as though Mr Twiss got Jane pregnant and then left her as he married my distant relative in September 1856!
Bad lad.
