does it sound possible for a person to marry in Northallerton, Yorkshire in 1792 and then move to Rotherham, Yorkshire.

Difficult one!

Some Families lived and died in the same Village/Town for decades.

Others Married in the Brides Parish and then left.

There can be many reasons for this;
a)The Groom was from a different area or even County
(I have examples of this in my Tree)
2) Depending on the Grooms Occp he may have had to move to find work.
(certain Occp's dried up in same areas and they moved to larger Towns for work)

Did they live to be found in the 1841 Census?
Do you know when/where the Bride/Groom were Christened ?

Trish :)

Have you checked to see if the couple who marry in Northallerton went on to have children there?   That might make it clear if there are two couples.
