Not much to go on here just a name at the moment. The above is a supposed to have travelled into Canada by ship ? date, and is being sought by members of the same family.

Charles Mayger
1927/07/16
Melita
1927 Volume 13, Page 194
Microfilm reel T-14735
Then went to Microform digitization and looked up the microfilm. The actual page is 141 of 350

Charles Mayger, age 24, married
Country and Place of birth - Ireland/Belfast
Passage paid by self
Occupation in previous country - poultry farming
Intended Occupation in Canada - farming

ScotlandsPeople has a marriage for Charles J Read Mayger to Lizette Aitken Cunningham. The given name written on the passenger list does look like it could be Lizette. It doesn't look like she came to Canada to join her husband. I can't find a passenger list entry for her and she died in Renfrew, Scotland in 1951 (as Elizabeth Aitken Mayger other name Cunningham).

If you have a chat to 'Jacquie in Canada' above I'm sure she will try and help you further. She very kindly helped in my own search for Robert Cameron (the Royal Canadian Airman from London Ontario).

Hi Jacquie

I am hoping that you can maybe help my family in their search for more information regarding Charles Read Mayger. WE understand and have noticed from the links that you listed that he travelled to Canada. What we would like to do now is find out where he ended up and if we can trace any living family over there. My mum and aunt would love to track down anyone who maybe knew him or his family. We have very little information regarding him here in the UK, other than what we have found on sites here.

Kindest Regards Caz
Charles Read Mayger

Thank you for this. The information is what we have here, just strange that Read leaves UK 3 years after he is married.

Look forward to hearing from
