Brilley Baptisms
« on: Sunday 30 September 12 20:11 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for the baptism of William Davies/Davis in Brilley about 1826. I have looked on the IGI and there are only female baptisms.

William's father is Edward. Don't know his mother's name.

There are female baptisms at the right time for an Edward and Ann, but I don't want to assume that this pairing is right.

Thank you
Judy :)

brilly along with huntington and michaelchurch on arrow were chapelries of kington  all served by one  very busy curate, maybe william was baptised elswhere in the absence of a curate at that time.

In 1821 according to theclergydatabase a schoolmaster was appointed to Brilley, some school records may have survived, you may get some help from the contact listed on  Brilley.co.uk.

sorry I cant do links  :) :) :)

Thanks Mike. It looks a very interesting site. I'll send an email to Roger and see if they have an archivist or access to family history type info.   :D
