I too agree with Pels.

This website has many pics of Marion Ryan in the late 50's early 60's - though on most of them she is smiling and showing her teeth, I'm pretty sure PhotoBob's picture is her.

Hi,

Does anyone else think that there is a liklihood that the date of the photo is probably not mid 60's.. the double breasted 'baggy' fit suit and the womans dress look to be more late 50's....

Marian Ryan was born Feb 4 1931, that would make her around 35 when this photo was taken if in fact it was a mid 60's photo... she looks to be too young, but if it is in fact a 50's photo then she would have been in her twenties.... which is more likely.....

Can I ask when the gentleman was born? that may help with the time-line...

I think you've cracked it Pels - I didn't think so until the photos you posted, but checking the site Yorkslass posted, there are a few photos where you can see the slightly "hooded" right eye that is quite clear in the original photo. I would date the photo 1958-61 by the styles

Dad was born in 1926.
I didn't say in previous post - I do like the photos - very good evidence.
Also reiterate these photos - there are others - were taken in early 19602.
Dad told me a short while ago he had some really good shots of Frank Sinartra - but someone nicked those.

I agree ... she was on TV 25-30 times a year from 1956 to 1963 ("Spot the Tune").

I don't remember her with hair like that.

I've been following this with fascination and comparing all the "possible" pictures that people have put up or pointed to. I do think the gallery of Marion Ryan pointed to by Yorkslass looks very, very likely -- especially the one at http://www.rootschat.com/links/0rw8/ in particular, with a not dissimilar hairstyle (and dated 1958).
