I have a Edmond/Edward Kennedy born c1828 South Tipperary, all I know about him is he join the R.I.C. in 1848 in Tipperary and was posted in Co Down. From his marriage his father was a Patrick Kennedy a farmer. I'm trying to narrow down where exactly he was born in South Tipperary, as Kennedy is a very common name there. The only other info I have on him is that a Rev. W Herbert clk recomended him for the R.I.C.

Wondering what the clk after Rev W Herbert is? There is a mention of a Rev W Herbert in Carrick-on-Suir in this google e-book

I don't know if it is too early as the book was published in 1812.
May be worth following up.
