Probably a silly random request, but looking for correct pronunciation of Breadalbane!

Visiting Balqhidder and Killin recently, I see this area often referred to. Curious as to whether emphasis is on Bread or Albane!

Brid - AL - ban - ay with the emphasis on the 'al' is how I would say it. The other two places you mentioned are Bal-WHID-der and Kill - IN in case you're not sure.

I do know the pronunciations for Balqhidder and Killin, but thanks for adding them. I am interested to read that you pronounce the last syllabil of Breadalbane as "ay". I was more thinking towards being either silent.

Bred-AL-ban is how it's pronounced here in Perthshire.

Your pronunciation is the way I was swaying towards.

Happy I now know the emphasis is on the central "al"

I agree. Definitely just the three syllables. The 'e' at the end isn't pronounced.
