The Census records you are referring to are correct. Rathmore is also correct in linking Moville to your ancestors.
The great mystery of Irish records is that in some instances there are other layers used in other records to identify the location of a village/townland. A bit like the layrers of an onion.
If you visit the last link given by Rathmore and look at the Maps , Parish and Townlands link with Moville (lower and Upper) in mind you will be able to identify carrickmaquigley.
You will eventually need to refer to the Griffiths valuation lists for Irish records mid 1850s and a good source is
Griffith Valuation, where all the information Rathmore has directed you to will be invaluable.
