My daughter inlaw sent away for Edward Saunders Clark's wedding certificate and he has named his parents  father John Clark and mother Susan Clark nee Saunders. He named England as his place of birth.  I have found all their children in NZ and have been corresponding with one of his great grand daughters. My father's first cousin.
Thank you everyone for helping me find him.

That's great news.

Meanwhile on the Edward front ... so it sounds like he didn't know his parents' names, and just gave his mother the same name as his bride? Since the baptism says his mother was Elizabeth and he named Susan when he married ...
