Hi,
Not sure if this helps but I can find the marriage of Arthur McKenna and Catherine McKenna (maiden name) in 1886 in Dungannon Roman Catholic Church.

Hi,
Yes McKenna was her maiden name. This may be them in the 1911 census. See http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Tyrone/Castlecaulfield/Killyliss/867228/

At the time of marriage in 1886, Arthur McKenna lived in the townland of Killyliss in the parish of Donaghmore.  His father Charles was a farmer.  His wife Catherine from the townland of Killymoyle in the same parish had a father Patrick who was also a farmer.

There are a Charles McKenna and Sara Hamill who had a son Arthur in 1858 in the parish of Aghaloo. They also had a son John in 1850. Other possible children are two daughters called Alice in 1846 and 1854.

Griffiths Valuation has a bucketload of hits for a Charles McKenna at that time in that part of Tyrone I'm afraid...

WOW that's great..there are quite a few Charles or Charlie in our wider family circle.
Does that mean Arthur's mother was also Catherine McKenna the very same as his wife.. Killyliss ties in perfectly as well. That's where my grandfather came from before he married and bought the farm and house at Drumhirk, in the same area

No, if the 1858 birth is the right Arthur, the mother is Sara Hamill.

Added: My reference to Catherine being from Killymoyle is to Arthur's wife at the time of the marriage.
