I need help discovering the life of Peter Benson Kennedy - born  1901 Coatbridge, Lankashire, Scotland - Father is Archibald Kennedy 1874 - ? and his mother is Catherine Benson 1876 - ?

I have all that I can get from Ancestry - I know he was involved in WWII I think in the Navy. 

This is a school project for his Great Granddaughter in Canada.

1901 census has the family living at 38 Langmuir Square, Old Monkland which would have been present day Bargeddie area
