Thank you Sunlaws, Very interesting information. I will have to find Jean Broomfields date of birth at home. Being new to this and living in Kansas, do you have any suggestions for me regarding the best place and method to gather information. I will be joining the Heritage Hub in Hawick soon and I know about Scotlands People. Everyone here has been very helpful and kind. I am happy I ran across this site.

All the information I have given you on this thread came from easily available internet resources, Scotlandspeople, Familysearch and FreeBMD-it's just a case of getting to know the right questions to ask!
