My great grandparents lived at Relf Road, Peckham, which I think is nearer Peckham Rye, but are buried at Camberwell New Cemetery. My great grandfather actually died down at Bognor Regis, not sure what he was doing there, but was the first to be buried in the plot in 1935. My grandfather who died in 1944 lived at Honor Oak Park but is also buried at Camberwell New. I'm not sure when Camberwell New was started but the two joint graves are both by the main entrance suggesting it wasn't that long before so 1923 may be a little early for the cemetery. My great great grandmother died in 1902 and also lived at Relf Road but we have as yet not found out where she's buried. Camberwell Old isn't that far away but is completely over grown like a nature reserve these days.
As Kaysii has said, Camberwell New probably is a good bet.
