Here she is as I remember her.  She died in 1955 aged 86.  I suspect this undated pic was taken around 1950.

Thanks for posting it, Maggie. She looks a lovely old lady.

What amazes me is how much clothing changed in the fifty years between the photos.

In the first photo she looks so sophisticated and elegant - but she looks much more comfortable in the second photo!

my color version.., I removed the part of the guy standing nearby and enlarged and rebuilt the left portion of photo to balance it for you.., tommy

That is splendid, Tommy, and just how she was with blue eyes.  Thank you so much.  Didn't expect this - just cropped her out of a bigger pic to show Judy but you have captured her wonderfully well.  The 'guy' standing nearby is actually her husband whom I unceremonially cropped out of this version  ;D

Never noticed where her feet were - they are indeed under a bit of carpet  :o.  The original photo is actually quite small and a perfectly balanced picture that the couple appear to have used as a Christmas Card that year.
