Hi All,

I think I can see the difference, johnkingedinburgh was searching for missing half-siblings that he knew were there somewhere. I am not looking for missing siblings or relatives. I am trying to find out whom and where I came from, the odd skeleton in the cupboard now and again, makes it exciting.

I have found a bigamist, first cousins who married each other, got relatives in court for assault and/or drinking too much alcohol, (so now I know where that came from, LOL). I have a great grandmother, who was illegitimate but used a name, possibly of natural father that I cannot pin down.

So a different type of research than johnkingedinburgh's. I have only put my direct family on my up to date tree,do not have any desire to meet 4th cousins once removed etc.
