Murray -Rathmines Dublin

Hi,
Afraid I have very little info ggrandfather Christopher Murray born about 1856. Census info 1881 & up in Salford just list his birthplace as Ireland. Marriage cert (catholic) 1875 gives his parents as Thomas (deceased) & Bridget Murray. There are family member's who have said that he came from Rathmaines, have wrote to the Catholic Church in Rathmines and had no luck.
Can anyone please offer any help/suggestions as what to do next.
Would really appreciate any input.

Have you typed in Rathmines church into google? I did this and emailed them, they found my dads half sister!!

Yes I did that and a cousin of mine also sent them a letter - but no luck!

When you say you had no success, did they look in the records and not find them or was there no reply?

I am not sure if or what records they looked at, the reply was just that they they had no information about Christopher Murray or his parents Thomas & Bridget Murray. Thanks for the link, just tried it, but it's offline (time difference)

I believe the Christopher Murray you are looking for is my great-great grandfather. He moved to Salford, England and married a local lady.
My grandmother (his grand-daughter) recently passed away and we found some letters and references in her belongings which referred to Rathmines; which is how I came accross this post.

I have quite a few details on the Murray family in England. I know that your original post was quite some time ago and you may have the details already.

If you are still looking please let me know. I would also like it if you had any other details on the Murrays as together with my mum we are trying to put together a family tree.
