Smith Family, West Derby, 1911
« on: Wednesday 19 September 12 18:36 BST (UK) »
Hi

Just wondered if anyone had any connection to the following:-

In 1911 the family lived at 77 Cameron Street, West Derby, Liverpool.

Frederick Smith Age 37 in 1911, born Edingale, Staffs/?Derbyshire, he was a Police Constable
Mary Smith Age 31 in 1911, born St Helens, Lancashire
George Age 9, born Liverpool
John H Age 8, born Liverpool
Norman Age 6, born Liverpool
Doris Age 4, born Liverpool

If my investigations are correct the family may have moved to Ontario, Canada, but that could have been after 1919.

Doris could have gone on to become a nurse in Canada.

Again if my investigations are correct and I have the right family Mary Smith is complicated.   She was born MARY SIGGINS in 1879 in St Helens.   She probably went to live with a family named SMITH in Liverpool.   The head of the family was Captain Smith, a captain of a tugboat.    To complicate things she married a man with the surname SMITH.

Any information helpful and willing to pass on any family history that I have.

Kind regards.
