James McMaster Campbell - Northern Ireland

Trying to find the birth record of James McMaster Campbell. His date of birth was 14 Feb 1880 born in Northern Ireland although not sure which county.
His parents were Alexander McMaster & Sarah Campbell.
At some point, James changed his surname from McMaster to his mother's maiden name of Campbell so i'm unsure which surname was used to register his birth in 1880. It's not clear why he changed his surname.
Can anyone possibly assist? Thanks.

Hi,
On 13 May 1897 Alexander McMaster married Sarah Campbell in Ballywatt Presbyterian Church, Parish of Ballyrashane, Co. Antrim. This is in the Coleraine District.

There are 4 children listed for Alexander McMaster and Sarah Campbell In Antrim
Jane 1881
Alexander 1884
George 1886
Mary Ann 1888
Jane may be a transcription error for James

It is cheaper to apply for the record in the South. GRO holds all Ireland records up to 1922, 26 counties after 1922

Just received my great grandfathers birth certificate. He was born in Knockertotan, Ballymoney, Portrush in 1880.
Can anyone please tell me about Knockertotan. I'm related to the Campbell's from the area. Many thanks.

I think the townland might be Knockantern not far from the town of Coleraine.

Knockertotan is a townland in Co Antrim, just south east of Portrush . The modern Corbally Rd runs through it. 133 acres and agricultural. Here’s who lived there in the 1901 census:

Knockantern is a townland in Co Londonderry, just south of Coleraine, on the modern Mountsandel Rd. Outer suburbs of Coleraine.
There was one Campbell family there in 1901:

Knockertotan could be right, Elwyn. It's also in Coleraine registration district (not sure where Ballymoney fits into the birth certificate). This looks like James' birth from the index-
James M'Master Jan./Mar.1880 Coleraine registration district, volume 1 page 510.
