I should have some concrete news of my John Jones later this week.I've ordered his marriage certificate to an Elizabeth Parry in the Oswestry District in 1839.

I just came across this promising database of probated estates in Wales.  Here is a listing for a John Jones, husband of Elizabeth, living in Brinkynalt, who had estate probated in 1815.  Many children listed.
