Looking for some help looking for a Michael Doyle after 1851? found him living with his brother and wife in scotland cenus 1851 age 16. then nothing. i now said brother got married in bernard castle co durham end of 1851 and had a son also called michael born here but i cant find the other michael any were else. i know he was born silgo ireland or lived here before coming to scotland he was born 1835.

Thanks anyway KGarrad dont look like a match Quinn does not come into any were on my searches

was thinking if i cant find him in scotland after 1851 or as far as i know England, could he moved back to Ireland!

where was he living in scotland in 1851 please - have some possibles on 1861 scotland census but need further info.

He's down as a visitor with his brother Patrick in lanarkshire he was 16 in 1851. Then his brother went down to Bernard castle Co Durham were my ggg grandfather was born. Then At somepoint before 1861 census Patrick and family moved back to lanarkshire, but Michael is not with them by this point. Just my ggg grandfather named after Michael is on it with rest of family.

only one coming up age 24-28 is a married man in Glasgow with wife & 3 children but all born Dublin and youngest is only 7 months so they must have just arrived!!

The only thing I can think of is if he's down as a visitor in 51 could he have went back to Ireland ? They originaly came from Co silgo

only one i can see on A* living scotland going to Philedelphia in 1864 is aged 40 with family!

FindMyPast only has lists from 1890..

do you know if he did marry or any other details occupation / parents etc

there is a death of a michael Doyle in lanarkshire 1883 gives wife & parents.
