Oh my gosh, thank you so much!! I did see the 1939 register but couldn't work out if Lily was a sister or not and where Keith (5 years old) if in!!

Thank you so much again, this is amazing information to finally have. Hopefully will now be easier to trace more.

I suspect 5 year old Keith might belong to Lily. But you would need to look into that some more. :)
His birth certificate will give you this information.

If George Morris is the father for Colin, I would look at the George Morris living a few houses away, in the very same street as Gladys and Lily, in Ledbury in 1939.
He is divorced, born 1903, and a wharehouse labourer.

ADDED. I note that on Colin Parry’s death certificate, his father is named as George. Whoever the informant was at his death, they knew something about his father.

I think he may have been sent to Banados as a child but wasn't adopted and left when he was a teenager??

Ree, I don’t believe that Colin was sent to Barnardos. I think he grew up with, or close, to his mother. Colin’s last address in the UK is Dines Green Worcester, as given on the shipping manifest. This appears to be the next street to Drake Ave, which is where his mother is listed in the electoral rolls.

There was talk he went to Banados as a child during the war while his mother worked?? And later in life was back with his mother. Was only there for a few years. And I think just rumours about a dad named George Morris.

Yes, during the war - I imagine that is possible. I think it is possible to apply for Barnados records.
He wasn't old enough to appear on electoral rolls before he emigrated.
He had two siblings - I wonder if he knew them at all. (I will send you a PM)

I think there is a little waiting time involved, but worth the inquiry.

A bit more information regarding the Brown family of Awre, Gloucestershire

Thomas BROWN  baptised 18 May 1846 Awre. Parents were John BROWN and Esther / Hester HUGHES (married 16 Oct 1825 Awre)

Mary HUGHES born 1846 Awre; died 1920. Parents were Edward HUGHES and Margaret MORGAN (married 30 Apr 1838 Newland)

[Interesting note: Esther Hughes (1799-1873) and Edward Hughes (1808-1863) were siblings, children of John HUGHES and Anne DIXON – married 1792 Awre.   Therefore Thomas Brown and Mary Hughes were cousins.]

Children of Thomas Brown and Mary Hughes:
•   John Edward BROWN 1874 – married abt 1904 to Emma NIBLETT from East Dean
•   Eliza Ann BROWN 1877 – married PARRY
•   Clara BROWN b. 29 Dec 1878 – 1901 census a servant in Ealing
•   Lillie Maud BROWN b. 11 Oct 1881 – married Sept 1933 Cheltenham to widower Walter WHITE
•   John Thomas BROWN 1883 – 1911 census working in Pontypridd Wales
•   Frank Harold BROWN 1885 – married Nov 1913 Awre to Minnie Elizabeth TURLEY
•   Esther Margaret BROWN 1887

Further questions – these two boys are with their Brown grandparents in 1911
1/  Ernest BROWN born 1 Jan 1899 Awre, the illegitimate son of whom? He was a sailor in Royal Navy. Married 1930 to Muriel Sophia HANCOCK. Ernest died at sea in 1940. He might be Eliza Ann’s first child.
2/  Reginald BROWN born Awre 1909, the illegitimate son of whom? Clara? Lily?
