baptism Langley
« on: Friday 14 September 12 14:47 BST (UK) »
Would anyone have access to baptism records for Langley.  Am trying to find the parents of Frederick Wright born January 1841 He is shown as a grandson of Abraham Wright on the 1841 census living in Manuden aged 5 months but I would like to ascertain who his mother and father were.  Many thanks for any help you can give.

Hi

The 1841 census shows Frederick aged 5 months living in Langley.

Abraham 35
Ann 40
Susan 15
Jane 15
James 12
Mary 10
Frederick 5 mths

It looks like Abraham may be a bit young to be his grandfather.

Hi

Found this marriage

St John the Evangelist, Langley
Abraham Wright (bachelor) & Ann Wisbey (spinster) both of the parish married by banns on 2 Oct 1821

Can't find a single baptism of any of their children, checked Langley, Arkesden & Clavering

He is shown as a grandson of Abraham Wright on the 1841 census

The 1841 census doesn't show relationships (to head of household).
Neither does it show birthplaces!
And not forgetting that ages are rounded down to a multiple of 5 years.

Thanks everyone, sorry about the delay have been away.  The 51 census also shows Frederick as the grandson and the age fits as having been born in 1841.  I am wondering if perhaps he was baptised in Manuden since they lived there, but thanks for the marriage details for Abraham that is much appreciated.
