found my mums certificate of birth, it has no parents plus is was written 17 years after her birth.
I think this could be what is called a short certificate, which contains only some of the information in the full version. If you have her birth name and date of birth, George should have no problem finding the full version. Good luck!
I bought short form birth certificates for my children years after their births, for sending to various authorities which needed to view them, as they were cheaper than the full form ones.
