I was just remembering the time I got a notification on FB asking me to be Friends with this person, and I declined it, I didn't know who it was, then the person asked again ...... then it twigged it was Genie, with her name spelt backwards. :'(

It's really sad to hear of Genie's passing.  I had the opportunity to meet up with her a few times and she is as funny in person as she was on the boards.  She would tell stories in her best "cockney" accent LOL.

She will be greatly missed.

Yes wonderful photos, Jan.  Genie was such a lovely person, with such wit and sensitivity.  The world will be a sadder place without her.

There are many people who come in to and out of our lives, most of them we'll never really know.  But there are a few who manage to 'touch' us and leave a lasting impression - Genie was one of them.

Genie tripped over and we laughed.  She told us she'd hurt herself and we laughed.

I'm not laughing now.

My sincere condolences to those close to the wise and wonderfully special person we knew as Genie.
To me and many more, she was always genuine and so very kind.

What a huge shock.
