I was so upset to hear the news. Genie was a great friend, loved a laugh, and was so helpful to me with my Canadian research.

My sympathy goes to Genie's partner and to her family.
It was only recently that Genie got onto Skype and we enjoyed a great video chat. She was so excited because she'd been able to chat with family using Skype.

Genie.....we'll all miss you.

Only heard the very sad news about Genie last night. :'(

Oh how we used to laugh about the snow she got in Toronto.   She knew I loved it and she dident ,  I would  offer to come and help her move it, we would often joke as to whether I needed to bring my shovel yet.  ;D

I shall miss those happy times with her. :(

Condolences to her family.

And thanks to Barbara for caring enough to phone Canada then let us all know about our loss of a good friend.
