Flt Lt L.S Harvey, Anglesey.
« on: Sunday 09 September 12 18:25 BST (UK) »
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I feel it deserves a posting. I was visiting three churches on Anglesey earlier, and at the third I came be a headstone to Flt Lt L.S Harvey 1950.

He lies in the churchyard of Llanfair yn Neubwll, St Mary's Church which has been neglected to a point untill the grass was cut recently. I'd like to think the picture might be of some help to someone.

Interesting, as it looks like a CWGC stone but the date does not match WW2.

No it is 1950, what caught my attention is the fact that he died at 28, and he would probably have served his time during World War 2.

No, he's Lionel S Harvey according to the death indexes for 1950.
Air Force Lists and/or London Gazette would be the first places to look for him.

This is probably him in 1947 reference

Thanks for the London Gazette link, I found my grandfathers name from 1937, my mother had no idea it was even there.  ;)
