End of an era?

POLICE COURT - Saturday
Transfers - On the application of Mr Onions, the license of the Falcon Inn, Woore, was transferred from Charles Collier to John Wilding.
Thanks for posting. Not sure exactly what to read into it, or if there is anything to read into it. Who mr Onions might be or represent and why the Police Court.
This question is old but in case it is useful ... Mr Onion was probably a Solicitor (US =Attorney) as the firm of Onion's and Davis or Davies was a firm of Solicitors in Market Drayton (nearest Market town to Woore) and the Police court ref need not be ominous as all transfers of licenses to sell alcohol had to be approved by the court.
