Yes, don't worry, I know all that :-)

But we didn't hence the questions.  You still haven't given his mothers name from the 1911 entry.

What religion were the family

Let's just stick to the parish records and not let this get complicated!

Honestly, I know everything about them already, and if you don't have access to the Little Clacton or Thorpe le Soken PRs then I am afraid that you really cannot help me, despite your best intentions. I only want to know where he was baptised.

Simon,

All we are trying to do is make the look up easier - if you had the correct date of birth (which seemingly you didn't) then we knew to look from that date - sometimes baptisms are carried out within a day of the birth - sometimes months , sometimes years - but if you have the correct date of birth that is a starting point.

Carole was asking for names of parents as that makes look ups easier -sometimes families had several children baptised at the same time - so searching by the surname Sedgwick and children born to ?? Sedgwick helps find the person you are looking for.

Carole also asked what religion they were -as this narrows down the number of churches records to look at

If you are not willing to help us in our attempt to help you in your research then there is nothing more I will do
