Hi Ed

There are two possible options for you.  One is to check parish records to see if Charlotte had the children baptised; the other is to take a chance and order the birth certificates to see who are the registered parents. There is no other way I can think of.

Hi there. I had a wonderful reply and help from a gentleman regarding my family tree. I was a but confused over a little but, probably just me, he said William Pearson born 1821 to James, had a daughter himself called Elizabeth Gertrude and he had a photograph. I taped my grandfather before he died (his father was George Ramm Pearson)On this he never mentioned this daughter. The only mention I can find is one of William's children Edward born 1848, who married Susanna and owned the Townsend Arms pub in Stiffkey, had a child called William born 1876 who had a child called Gertrude Elizabeth or vice versa. I am getting very confused. Anyone with ideas??? Think you for letting me waffle!!
