Hi all,

Desperately looking for any info Re. ]Thomas Lett & Margaret Bolger, they had son Nicholas born 4th April 1867, who then went on to marry Mary Fitzpatrick,.

Also Mary Bates who married David Kenny 1864, would like help finding her parents, have been looking for sooooo long, with no luck

The place to start the search earlier details on Mary Bates and David Kenny would be their civil marriage record - that should show the names of their fathers, and also where the bride and groom were living at the time which can help the search for earlier records..

do you know where in Co.Wexford the marriage took place ?

not sure what kind of details you have already on Thomas and Margaret....  details of extracted births for several of their children are included on FamilySearch :

  Elizabeth Lett, 12 Mar 1864, Camolin & Cranford, Co. Wexford
  Nicholas Lett, 04 Apr 1867, Gorey, Co. Wexford     (district)
  William Lett, 22 May 1872, Ferns, Co. Wexford

looks like Thomas and Margaret marriage before 1864 - so a search of parish records would be required if they were RC..

are you sure about your date for this marriage ?

It might be a coincidence, but I looked for the same names for an 1890s marriage in your previous thread... there was a possible match also.. see :

do you have certs for those or just the extracted records ?

Extracted records often give location as a just district or sub-district or sometimes just the county, whereas a civil cert will usually give a more specific details - such as a townland name etc. Certs also give father's occupation which can sometimes be useful...

There are a few parishes available for Co. Wexford on the pay-website at RootsIreland - just three last time I checked 2 RC and 1 CofI.

Sorry you are right, that was the wrong date !Should of been 1894.

I do have some certificates that have helped, but the info I am after is proving elusive at the mo.

I shall carry on regardless for now.
