John Thomas Lawson (1882-1974) - Pickering

Hi all,

I was wondering if you could shed any light on my great-grandfather, John Thomas Lawson.

I think the 1882 birth date is correct, as well as Pickering, North Yorks as his birthplace.

My auntie seems to think that he died in 1974/75.

All I can find is his birth and the fact he married a Smith in March 1912 in Pickering.

I'd love to find out more about him, but also his household in 1891, 1901 or 1911.

I want to trace the Lawsons back as far as possible.

John Thomas Lawson born Q4 1888 Pickering 9d 442.

1891 living Westgate, Pickering with father Philip 32 born Sowbury, Bucks.
Mother Sarah 28 born East Heslerton, Yorks.
Arthur 10, Rosanna 7, Lydia 4, John T 2, Philip 2weeks.
All children born in Pickering.

1901 still at Westgate, Pickering. Philip, Sarah, John T, Martin 10, Sarah J 6, William 3, Joseph 3 months.
Philips elder brother Martin 47 unmarried, born Sowbury, Bucks. also living with them.

As sillgen says we are not allowed to post 1911 census records on the board.
