Hi

I notice that he had siblings born in 1957 and 1961.  Are they not able to provide this info for you?

As he died in Staffs - do you know why he would have been buried in Warwickshire rather than Staffs?

Hi there

Ok this is what I know. I know he had siblings but he didn't get on well with them and he didn't speak or see them when he was alive. So we don't even know where his siblings are or live.

Like mentioned in my previous post all I know his on the death reference it's says he died in the district of Wolverhampton in the. County of Staffordshire. So I don't know where you have got Warwickshire from and as far as we knew he died somewhere in. Birmingham.

We just want to find where he is buried and in what cemetery so we can go visit his grave and pay our respects

Hope this help  :)

You could ring wolverhampton council and ask who to contact re the cemetries. There's quite a few wolvo cem so they would find an area to look in useful as well as the death date

Birmingham is in Warwickshire

Wolverhampton is in Staffordshire

His death was registered in the Wolverhampton Registration District so he did not die in Birmingham

These are the areas covered by the Wolverhampton Registration District

Hi

Not that this changes the fact the death was registered in Wolverhampton and not Birmingham, but Birmingham was in Warwickshire up to 1974 and Wolverhampton was in Staffordshire up to 1974. In that year both became part of the county of West Midlands. The county was abolished in 1986 and cities like Wolverhampton and Birmingham became metropolitan boroughs.

Where you die is not necessarily where you are buried, or since the date is 1976 were you are cremated. As he died aged only 21 whether he was estranged from his family or not you would expect they were involved in the funeral arrangements. If he wasn't married then if you think the funeral did take place in Birmingham his family (parents & siblings) would likely arrange it for the cemetery/crematorium that was nearest to where they lived. Contacting Birmingham cemetery services would be the starting point. Their records are computerised so if he was buried or cremated in Birmingham it should be very easy for them to find the entry. They also have an online cemetery search (not sure it goes up to 1976) but this is down at present.

Hi Valda
Unfortunately that cemetery search hasn't been available for a while now.  It's a shame as it was very useful and I wish they would re-instate it.

It would appear that both his parents were still alive in 1976 as there is no death for either up to 2006
