James & Lydia BATE - Calstock
« on: Thursday 26 May 05 16:04 BST (UK) »
Anyone have any information on my (potentially!) GGGGGrandparents, James and Lydia Bate (nee Hawton), who martried in 1811 in Calstock?

Thanks,

Steve Bate

If the Lydia born in Stoke Climsland is the same Lydia (Hawton) Bate, then she is the sister of my great-great-great-great-grandmother, Joannah Hawton.

This is one line that I'm actively researching, and I'd be delighted to hear from you :)

Interestingly, one of Joannah's sons also married a Bate, so I'm sure there's a connection.
