Yes sad but she really wanted to find out about her bm and family so doing it for her, so it will keep me occupied that day and Im rather looking forward to finding out but its a lot harder than I thought it was going to be at the start anyway!!

I think it is wonderful you are carrying on the research for your Mum - it's also uncanny coincidences with dates etc - but it seems to happen quite often as you do more research

Ok suz cheers and just a quick update for you and everyone

Ive just been on the phone to the Gro and the adoptee is the person who can easily gain her adoption records but basically it is possible a suz said, I have to write to the court who dealt with the adoption attaching paperwork to prove who I am, my moms death certificate and all paperwork I have in my possession that shows what information I hold as a blood relative, it is then upto the courts as to whether they disclose all the information they hold, so that is what I will do and also I can do the same with the council that sorted the adoption
