Hi ....I'm looking for any relatives of David McEwan..born Liverpool c.1909. Sent to Marchmont Home Bellville, Ontario March 1925.

Lived & worked - Wiliam Oudot in Osgoode. David's last know whereabouts where of him living in South Porcupine, Ontario in 1936.

Anyone out there?

I thought I'd mention that David was actually born in 1908 in West Derby (use FreeBMD to get accurate info) -- sometimes exact facts like that can be useful for searching/verifying.

... several previous threads on the same thing, including in the Canada forum, and the previous requests that you keep the requests to one thread, especially in this case (one in Canada, one in Canada lookups). Just add a post to last year's thread and it will rise to the top.

I had checked a few sources, e.g. to see whether he died in WWII or is shown in the Legion's list of deceased veterans at Last Post, or had returned to England and died there (some Home Children did return), but I expect that others had done that before me.
