hi . looking for records on bert potter ( bertram ) 1918-1986 served in burma and holder of the burma star . were can I findhis records for ww2 ?

thanks , any way to obtain records without paying , I`V tried ancestry but no go , researching so many family members can`t afford to keep paying out .

Hi

Only the deceaseds widow, if still alive, could get them for free. You will probably also need to prove he is deceased and I think because his death was more than 25 years ago, you can get the full record. If death was less than 25 years ago permission of the next of kin is required to get full record.

It also takes many months to get the records.
