Morley Road Cemetery Rhyl - Tombstones

The Morley Road Cemetery,Rhyl was landscaped and the plan and Monumental Inscriptions can be seen at Rhyl Library.
Does anyone know what happened to the tombstones/memorials?
Are they in store somewhere/can they be viewed?
An initial enquiry to Denbighshire C.C. suggested that those in sufficient condition were positioned around the perimeter,but that does not appear to be the case.

Word has it that they were buried.

Thanks for your response.Denbighshire C.C. suggested  that was the fate of those in poor condition,perhaps it was true of all.Perhaps I will try to find a contemporary newspaper account.

(and it appears no-one else)  is on holiday.  There is a transcript I hear.
Not sure when she will be back

Yes,there is a book of monumental inscriptions and a hand drawn scale map of the relevant positions.I will probably be nearby next week and will call in to look for your record unless you post in the meantime that you have the info.
The cemetery was closed to new plots(but not new burials in the same plot) in 1891.

David Conway died in June 1864 in Rhyl
For background,in case you don't have it,census refs as follows:-

(amongst his family is John Conway,here an apprentice at law who goes on to become an attorney/barrister,but dies before his father)

Hello Roger -  I went to Hawarden on Friday last and checked out some burial places i,e.
Rhyl, Abergele -    -   do you know what happened to the other children of David/Elizabeth
Some of his early children died in Liverpool and are buried in St. John, Liverpool churchyard
If you want these, let me know please.
I am in the process of looking back to the family of the parents of David -  i.e.  Robert Conway and Ann Williams of Bodellwyddan..... he was a slater.  The family go back to Abergele/Rhuddlan area...in the 17thc.
Robert was born c 1751 - but appears to be much older than Ann his wife who was born c 1776.
She died 1875 aged 91 years

My story is from John Conway born 1799 and bapt. St. George - he married Elizabeth Jones in Liverpool 1824 and it is their daughter Jane who married Joseph Borrowscale in Liverpool
