No it's not Pwhelli which is in 'the far corner' of Wales.
The bapt is in Merthyr Tydful, Glamorgan.
Pretty sure it will be a farm in Glam but can't find anything close to Pwllywhud.

Probably not,but this comes up in an 1841 address search:
Pwllywhead, Merthyr Tydfil

Yes that's the place Maureen, correct spelling is (I think) Pwllywhiad. It means Ducks Pond /pool.
