Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle!!  I knew about brother Alfred but never knew he went to America as well...and that HE was the father of Anabel.  Was I ever barking up the wrong tree. What revelations.

I've been several days in replying because I've been trying to sort it all out.  And I couldn't believe seeing photos of the actual memorial plaques for some Dietzmanns. How completely marvellous of you, Sandra.  You've absolutely delighted me.

As a follow up, I'd love to have any info you might have on  the Guerry sons.

What is 'Release of Deeds'?  Was that when Anabel inherited her parents' house maybe?

I have never been able to find Anabel's actual birth date and place nor her marriage to Theodore R. Dietzman.

I've also never found the deaths of William Hiles and his wife Minnie Kaufmann.  They must have died around 1940 in Dade County, Florida.

Thank you so much for all your hard work and for guiding me in the right direction at last.

All the best to you and yours,  Ann Berry

You're very welcome Ann, pleased to help.

Believe the release of deeds was to do with the winding up of Annabel's mothers estate since she had died a few years previous.

Perhaps this was William Hiles

Thank you Sandra,

That might indeed be the death of William Hiles.  Do you know where I could write to in the USA to get a death certificate?

You did say that you would send me the names and birthdates and family details of the two Lind Van Buskirk/Guerry sons.  But I haven't seen them.

Thanks so much for your help.  You're really good at this!

Ann
