Morgan Military
« on: Tuesday 14 August 12 08:25 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am trying to gain some info on Horace James Morgan, B: 6 June 1917 or 16th July 1917 in Mississippi D: 13 June 2004 in Texas. I recently found a record that states he joined the army on the 7 July 1938. I'm hoping to get some info from his enlistment records BUT am unable to locate them on Ancestry or Fold 3. I thought I had his SSN on the Social Security Death Index but am unable to locate the number now. He may have live in Louisiana at some point and I found a 1930 Census with a Horace J Morgan at Fort Worth. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Charlene

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for the info. I do have that obituary and unfortunately I'm unable to match the parents together so it has left me stuck. Thats why I was hoping I could possibly find his military record an it may have his parents on it. But now that you've helped with the SSN I may be able to locate it. Cheers.

There is a tree on Ancestry for this family which cites a 1920 census entry in Brazos Texas. If it's the right family, Horace is listed as James, Dora is listed as Mrs Morgan. and there  is another son Lucius or Lucian
